FINNIE WELCOMES SNP U-TURN ON REPOSSESSION

Commenting on the SNP U-turn over measures to protect homeowners from repossession, Liberal Democrat Housing spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said:

"I'm relieved that the First Minister has conceded that the Health Secretary got it badly wrong yesterday.

"The Scottish Government must now bring forward the measures necessary to ensure that repossessions are a last resort after every other possible route has been explored. This needs to be an explicit and absolute condition that can be relied on in court if necessary."

Ends.
